We attended an Erasmus + training program called “Live Sustainably”.
From September 2nd till 8th of September, our colleague Lovro Lucev participated in training under the Erasmus + program called “Live Sustainably” held in Spain, attended by 25 young people from 13 from different European countries. The program aimed to acquire techniques, skills and competencies to start up oneself, a project that fosters critical thinking, social awareness and environmental awareness among the youth they work within their countries.
All participants in the program were housed in the same house, all activities took place in her circle, which greatly helped the participants to get to know each other better and to create a deeper connection between themselves, which eventually resulted in new acquaintances, friendships and plans for future cooperation and new joint projects.
The program was well-conceived from the very beginning to the very end. Through a variety of informal learning methods, program leaders have succeeded in awakening or deepening each participant’s awareness of their connection to nature, instilling in them their faith and hope in themselves and their work. To encourage them to think critically, to cooperate, and to motivate them for their further work. They also, in a very interesting and entertaining way, encouraged all participants to direct their lives and work towards sustainability in all their segments, to stimulate, influence and raise awareness among as many people as possible through their example and work. That they must never forget the power of the individual, but they must also not forget the power of knowledge, understanding, empathy, openness, cooperation and love for our planet and all living things on it. “The world has enough for everyone’s needs, but not enough for everyone’s greed,” said Mahatma Gandhi.
